The ascent of Cima Presanella (3,558 m), in the Adamello-Presanella group, is one of the great classic mountaineering routes of the Rhaetian Alps and leads to the highest summit in Trentino. With its unmistakable pyramid shape, the mountain dominates the whole massif with an elegant and powerful silhouette.
Presanella offers a wide variety of mountaineering itineraries, from the more accessible normal routes starting from Val Nambrone, Val Genova and Val di Sole, to longer and more demanding traverses in a true high-altitude environment.
Among the most interesting ascents are the full north-to-south traverse and the North-West Ridge from Bocca d’Amola, itineraries that cross glaciers, ridges and wild alpine landscapes typical of the Adamello-Presanella group.
