Ski Touring in Adamello – Glacier Tour from Passo Tonale, between Trentino and Lombardy

Difficulty:

Ski touring in Adamello is one of the most iconic and sought-after experiences for ski mountaineering enthusiasts in the Italian Alps. Between Trentino and Lombardy, this unique glacier environment offers extraordinary high-altitude scenery, with routes developing across one of the largest glaciers in Italy.

Climbing with skins to summits above 3,500 metres, crossing the evocative Pian di Neve and reaching peaks such as Cima Adamello, Corno Bianco, Cresta Croce or Carè Alto means experiencing a true mountaineering journey through history, snow and grand alpine landscapes.

From March onwards, with the opening of the high-altitude huts, the Adamello comes back to life after winter: abundant snow, vast open spaces and itineraries for different levels, from steeper gullies to long, gentle glacier slopes.
