Haute Route Chamonix Zermatt – Ski Touring Traverse between Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn

Difficulty:

The Chamonix Zermatt ski touring traverse, known internationally as the Haute Route Chamonix Zermatt, is one of the most iconic, historic and prestigious ski touring journeys in the entire Alpine range. A legendary itinerary crossing France and Switzerland, it links two absolute capitals of world mountaineering: Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc, and Zermatt, dominated by the Matterhorn.

Between the majestic Mont Blanc massif and the unmistakable profile of the Matterhorn, this journey represents the highest expression of high-altitude ski touring. It is a continuous sequence of vast glaciers, suspended valleys, alpine passes and historic mountain huts, where each day alternates long, demanding ascents with descents on constantly changing snow, in a remote and extraordinarily evocative environment.

A complete experience that brings together technique, endurance and a spirit of adventure, crossing some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Alps.
