Via del Pertugio – Winter Mountaineering on Cima Grostè

Via del Pertugio on Cima Grostè, in the Brenta Dolomites, is an evocative ice and mixed climbing route in a classic winter alpine environment. Located above Madonna di Campiglio, not far from the slopes and lift facilities, it is an ideal way to experience winter mountaineering at altitude on varied terrain that is never too difficult, with a pleasant and educational character.

The route unfolds in an authentic Dolomite setting, where snowy gullies, rocky sections and ice passages alternate depending on seasonal conditions. Light, silence and wide views across the Brenta group create an intense, immersive atmosphere, typical of the best winter mountaineering days in the Dolomites.

The climb develops on progressive and varied terrain, where crampons and ice axes allow you to move efficiently across firm snow, short rock sections and ice passages that may change considerably from one season to another. It is an itinerary that combines learning and the pleasure of climbing, ideal for gaining confidence in a high-altitude winter environment.

From the summit or exit point, the view opens wide across the Brenta Dolomites and the surrounding mountains, offering that sense of fulfilment and freedom that makes this experience so rewarding.
