Program
- Meet the Mountain Guide early in the morning at the agreed location in Val Daone, while the valley is still quiet. Equipment check, assessment of the icefall conditions and technical briefing for the day, with indications on safety and route management.
- Approach on foot towards the base of the icefall, crossing the evocative amphitheatre of the Boazzo Dam in a typical winter alpine setting. Start the route and climb the different pitches of Sogno del Gran Scozzese, on vertical and sustained ice, in a severe and impressive environment.
- Descent by abseil along the side of the icefall and return to the valley following the approach route. Final debrief and end of the day.
