Carè Alto (3,463 m) – Normal Route, Cresta Cerana and Classic Ridges

Difficulty:

The ascent of Carè Alto (3,463 m), in the Adamello group, is one of the most complete and fascinating mountaineering experiences in Trentino. The mountain rises above the Lares Glacier amphitheatre with an imposing profile, clearly visible from the valley floor, and is one of the most iconic glacier mountaineering objectives in this part of the Italian Alps.

Considered by many mountaineers to be one of the most aesthetic peaks in the area, Carè Alto combines elegance and character. Its well-defined shape and isolated position make it a mountain with a strong presence, able to capture the attention and imagination of anyone who loves the high mountains.

The ascent takes place in a varied and authentic alpine environment, among crevassed glaciers, sharp ridges and rocky sections. It is an itinerary that requires attention and good mountaineering movement, but rewards you with a complete experience where technique, beauty and adventure come together naturally.

Reaching the summit of Carè Alto means enjoying an intense and satisfying ascent in one of the most significant glacier environments of the Adamello group.
