Spaghetti Tour, Monte Rosa – Traverse of the 4,000-Metre Peaks from Cervinia

Difficulty:

The Spaghetti Tour in the Monte Rosa massif is one of the most iconic glacier mountaineering traverses in the Alps. It takes place in a high-altitude environment between Italy and Switzerland, linking some of the most famous 4,000-metre peaks in the area through a continuous sequence of summits, glaciers and historic mountain huts suspended between sky and snow.

The name Spaghetti Tour comes from the strong presence of Italian mountaineers in the area and from the tradition of the mountain huts serving warm, substantial meals, especially pasta, during long days at altitude. It is a complete and physically demanding experience in a high-mountain environment, combining glacier mountaineering, multiple ascents and overnight stays at altitude.

  • Multi-day mountaineering traverse at high altitude.
  • Ascent of several peaks above 4,000 metres.
  • Glacier travel with crampons and rope.
  • Moderate but continuous elevation gain.
