If Mont Blanc is the most famous peak in the Alps, the Matterhorn is undoubtedly the most beautiful. An unmistakable profile and a perfect shape, the mountain par excellence, exactly as we could all imagine it if we were to close our eyes: a pointed and steep triangle, with a summit summit so slender and thin, you can touch it with a finger. The Matterhorn is the most sought-after mountain in the Alps, its two ridges that descend towards Zermatt and Cervina tell of epic feats that have made the history of mountaineering. A destination for mountaineers with excellent athletic training and experience on mixed terrain:
LION'S CREST | ITALIAN NORMAL – An exciting climb, with climbing passages up to grade IV and sections equipped with fixed ropes to overcome the most difficult sections. HÖRNLI RIDGE | NORMAL SWITZERLAND – Less technical than the previous one, but decidedly demanding due to the length and the need to maintain good footing on delicate and complex terrain in terms of orientation. CROSSING LION'S CREST AND HÖRNLI CREST – Two wonderful ridges, being able to combine them in the same climb is a great achievement and an immense satisfaction.
Program: CRESTA DEL LEONE, G1 – Cervinia, Plan Maison 2550m by cable car or Jeep to Rifugio Oriondé 2800m, Capanna Carrel 3850m. G2 – Cervino 4478m and complete return to the village. HÖRNLI RIDGE, G1 – Zermatt, Schwarzsee 2552m by cable car, Hörnli Refuge 3262m. G2 – Matterhorn 4478m and return to the valley mirroring the climb. CROSS HÖRNLI RIDGE, G1 – Cervinia, Plan Maison 2550m by cable car or Jeep to Rifugio Oriondé 2800m, Capanna Carrel 3850m. G2 – Matterhorn 4478m, Cresta Hörnli, Schwarzsee 2552m and return to Cervinia with lifts. NB: the program may vary based on weather conditions, level of physical fitness and ability of the participants, unpredictable events upstream and/or the advice of your guide.
The fee includes: UIAGM mountain guide service, logistical organisation, insurance, technical material, souvenir photo. Not included: shelters, transfers and lifts for yourself and the guide.
