The ideal period is generally from April to June, when the freeze-thaw cycle helps make the snow more stable and the glaciers better covered. Ascents are made with ski touring skis and ski crampons, while crampons, harness and rope may be required on steeper, more technical or crevassed sections, creating a complete experience between skiing and mountaineering.<\/p>\n
